Poetry Chapbooks

White Eagle Coffee Store Press began by publishing poetry chapbooks. Several poets were invited to publish with us. From there the press began to offer contests for poetry chapbooks--at first every four months--but that was soon cut back to two a year, and now one annually, due to time limits and increasing publishing costs. We have published the books of winners and found among the other entries additional books that we have offered to publish. Because the judging is anonymous and the judges keep changing, we have published a wide variety of poetry--both in techniques and materials. Readers tell us they like it. So do writers.

White Eagle Coffee Store Press invites poets to submit manuscripts to a contest for chapbook publication.

Open Competition: No restrictions on style or subject matter.

Prize: Winner receives $500. and 25 copies. 10 copies for press kits.

Manuscript Length of 20 to 24 pages, easy to read printing. No names on MS. Collection must be unpublished, but individual poems can be published.
Cover Title Page with Title, Name, Address, Phone, and brief Biography.
Second Title Page. No Name. 125 word Statement about your work to be included in book. (materials, methods, work habits, vision--whatever would introduce a new reader to your work.)
Table of Contents Paginated .
$15. Reading Fee. Check to WECSP. US funds.
Winner announced Early Spring 2012.
SASE for contest results. #10 envelope. MSS recycled.
Simultaneous submissions OK, but please tell us should you publish elsewhere. Published on the Internet means Published.
